Femina Miss India 2017 was the 54th edition of the FeminaMissIndia beauty pageant held on 25 June 2017 at YashRaj Film Studio, Mumbai. Contestants from all the 30 states competed for the crown. Among them was this little AirForce kid Priyanka Kumari who was crowned the 2nd Runners up FBB Colors Femina Miss India 2017.

She is not just a pretty face; she is much more than that, she is the proud daughter of a proud father, Junior Warrant Officer SC Bharti is an Airwarriorand a dedicated member of the prestigious “Men in Blue”. She firmly believes that growing up in the AirForce helped her in developing an overall personality. She says “We In Air Force lead a disciplined life, we like to be punctual and systematic. Living that kind of lifestyle has helped me so much in achieving my dream”.

She did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, completed her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Pune University in 2013 & then worked for 2 years in the private sector. Her father remembers that since childhood she has always been a kind of person who was very sensitive towards what is happening around.

While she was working & trying to find a cause for her existence, she came across Miss India application form & without much expectation, she filled the form. The first of many surprises came when she got the call for an audition. However, she couldn’t make it through the final round of the city audition, but this experience led to her journey towards success. After 1 year of arduous training, she made it through the state auditions and was crowned as #MissIndia Bihar in Apr 2017. There was no looking back & she recalls “when my name was announced on the day of FBB finale, I was surprised & elated. My parents, who always supported me, were very proud and happy”.

She acknowledges “it was much later in life that I realized how blessed I am to be a defense kid. We have a disciplined and organized approach not only towards work but also towards our life”.

Message for the AirForceKids: “We all should be proud of our parents & be brave just like them & hence we must never let go of our dreams. We should always remember that we are the people of defense & we never give up”.

Her message to everyone is “The moment we doubt our potential and leave our dreams, is when our dreams leave us, so never doubt your capabilities”.
